Global Missions

The important work of coordinating and promoting Global Missions in our District is headed by Rev. Nevin Bass, who has a burden to see that UPCI Global Missionaries receive the support they need, and that our District continues in the vision of prayer and financial support for our Missionaries. He has served in this capacity since 2013. Bro. Bass is also the pastor of the Church of Pentecost in Castle Rock.

North American Missions

Rev. Randall Cox is our Director of North American Missions. Bro. Cox has a desire for Missions, church planting, and church growth in the State of Colorado includes starting new churches, daughter works, and preaching points. Rev. Philip Day is the District NAM Secretary.

Sunday School

Rev. Mark Henry leads the Sunday School Department. He previously served as Sunday School Secretary for several years before being elected the Director. Brother Henry and his wife (Christine) are faithful members of Apostolic Christian Tabernacle in Boulder, Colorado. Rev. Donald Napier is the District Sunday School Secretary. He also pastors New Life Worship Center of Fort Morgan.

CDYM: Youth Ministries

Rev. Tony Bohrer, pastor of Apostolic Lighthouse in Craig, was elected District Youth President in 2008. Previously, he has served as Youth Director for Section 1 and then as District Youth Secretary. He is married to Shannon Bohrer, and they have two daughters. Rev Thomas Gibson is the District Youth Ministry Secretary. He is also the pastor of Life Tabernacle in Grand Junction.

Men's Ministries

Rev. Dieter Skowron is the Men's Ministry Director. The Men's Ministry continues to hold the successful annual Men's Retreat. The YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park is often the site of this annual conference. Bro. Skowron is also the pastor of Abundant Life Tabernacle in Johnstown. Rev. David Wasserburger is the District Men's Ministry Secretary. He is also the pastor of New Life Worship Center in Centennial, Colorado.

Ladies Ministries

Sister Sharon Turpin is the Colorado District Ladies Ministries President. Sis. Turpin is the wife of our District Superintendent, Marney Turpin, and a mother to Dustin (son) and Mashella (daughter). Sister Kathy Shaw is the District Ladies Ministry Secretary. She is the wife of District Secretary, Kevin M. Shaw, and the mother of two sons, Kenan and Kylan.

Spanish Ministries

Rev. Juan Acuna serves as the District Spanish Ministries Director. He has a vision for unity and progress among our Spanish speaking congregations, and for continued outreach to the Spanish speaking community in Colorado, as well as for Spanish speaking daughter works in as many congregations as possible. Brother Acuna is also the pastor of Torre Fuerte UPC in Denver. Rev. Ricardo Sanchez is the District Spanish Ministries Secretary.

Multicultural Ministries

Kevin M. Shaw serves as the District Multicultural Ministries Director. He would like to see many more churches participating in outreach to all ethnic groups in our state and also in the All Nations Sunday outreach opportunity!
